Tips to Look Taller

Many people were not blessed with the right height so they lack self-confidence. In some cases it is just a psychological problem that a person considers himself as too short.

If it is not your case there are some techniques that can help you look taller visually instead of really becoming taller, that is possible either though rather complicated. Some designer clothing are fitted perfectly for taller person. Here are just a few things you should keep in mind when you wish to look taller so you can wear your desired designer clothes.

Posture

Good posture provides many physical and psychological benefits. It is an important component for back health and height increase.

Good posture helps maximize your height not just because of the obvious reason that you are sitting and standing tall rather than slouching and slumping, but for other structural and physiological reasons as well.

You can correct posture by ensuring that you always sit with your back against a chair’s support and being conscious of the fact that you will need to keep a correct posture at all times.

Good standing posture is achieved by leaning against a wall. Keep your head, shoulder blades, buttocks and heels in contact with the wall.

At the same time, use your muscles to pull back your neck, waist and knees to minimize the space between your body and the wall.

There should be only slight gaps. This practice can help you straighten up and give the impression that you look taller than you actually are.

Appearance

By cleverly organizing the visual elements of clothes, their design, your hairstyle and even accessories you can change the way your body is perceived to the better and make yourself look taller.

Hair style

Wear your hair in the way it makes you appear taller. A hair style for you should be thin at the sides and higher up at the top, which can make you look as much as an inch taller. You should also avoid wide hair style.

Old School Fashion

Fashion trend from the 1970s through 1980s, and that is the old school fashion. Our fashion conscious young adults and teens are the source for bringing back Old School Fashion. That is why some designer clothes based their design from old school. Some you might say thank goodness for that and yet others would say bring our history of fashions back for another run.

While fashions of today are definitely more of a combination of function while pleasing to the eye, some would think it's due to progress made in the area of fashion, and would not dare look back to our past. Reality has a way of denying what we all think. But whether you are pleased to see it happen or otherwise, we will be and are experiencing a revival of the popular fashion styles from our past. And so you see, the fashion styles of old have a way of coming back.

The media was the spark that started the fire that brought this comeback. But where is the fuel? I suppose the truth of the matter would be that some of us like the old school fashion. It helps us reconnect with a past which was not nearly as complicated. I believe this to be the reason why it continues to resurface because each time it does we find that we actually liked it.

As this happens it becomes quite popular and even sexy. Let's face it; old school fashion was designed to show off the human body. Everything was fitted, shirts, pants, not to mention cool patterns and designs and fabrics, these are the trademarks of our past, a past which young people of today have not experienced. Most of us think old school fashion to be very cool, especially with today's technology and comfortable fabrics, these designs can showy and casual at the same time.

Old School Fashion can be the best way to reconnect to the past. Make sure that this fashion will suit to you and help you to express your feelings.

Top Fashion Mistakes

To look great is what we all wanted when it comes to fashion and trends. No matter how trendy and beautiful your designer clothes are, if you do not wear them right it can ruin your looks. Unfortunately, there are some fashion errors that we might not be aware of, but that we might practice.

1. Wearing oversized clothing.

Now there is the wrong oversized clothing and the right over-sized clothing. Which looks fabulous paired with a tighter fitting top and a high waist belt. Wrong over-sized clothing is just plain wrong: huge knee-reaching t-shirts, baggy pants, you get the point. Make sure you buy clothes that fit you properly.

2. Wearing red and green at the same time.

Red and green are two of the colors that you absolutely must avoid wearing together. These colors really oppose each other, so just stay clear. Also, it’s best to stay away from green and red makeup.

3. Dirty shoes.

Make sure to keep your shoes in style, according to your outfit, and most importantly, clean!

4. Short skirt and short top.

Don’t wear a short top with your mini. Instead, wear a miniskirt and pair it with a tee that reaches your hip bones. Play it up with a wide belt. If you’re into short tops, just wear jeans and steer away from short skirts.

5. Bulky shoes with feminine dress.

A very feminine dress should never be paired with bulky shoes such as thick platforms. This kind of dress deserves a pair of soft, delicate shoes. Anything with a small heel, and even wedges and espadrilles.

6. Too much jewelry.

A thin, fine necklace and a pair of earrings is enough. Or if you decide for a pair of big, adorned earrings, keep it simple by wearing a few rings or a bracelet or two with that, but stay

7. Wearing fashion that doesn’t suit you.

If miniskirts are in, and you don’t have the greatest legs, that’s fine! You don’t have to abide by each and every single fashion trend that comes out. If something that suit your body type, it’s better to stay away from it. After all, most of us aren’t models and a lot of the fashion trends that spring up don’t suit everybody, so be careful what you choose.

8. More than one pattern.

If you have flowers on your shirt, don’t wear plaid pants, or the other way around. Try to stick with one pattern in your outfit. A pair of plaid pants with a solid colored top, or a floral shirt with a pair of jeans. Don’t crowd your outfit with patterns. Keep it sweet and simple.

9. Tights are not for everyone.

As I’ve mentioned before, not all fashion trends work for everyone. Some people should stay away from certain trends. Trends like tights for example. You know they stick to your skin and show off your legs, so if you don’t have shapely legs, don’t wear them please. I know they’re in, but if they make you look bad, avoid them I see so many women wearing tights with over-sized shirts,it absolutely amazes me. But try to avoid this very common mistake for your own good.

10. Panty lines.

Need I say more? If you’re going to wear thin, clingy, or even white pants, be aware of it and don’t walk out with embarrassing panty lines, but opt for a thong.

11. An orange tan.

Let’s face it: you know that it’s orange, you just don’t want to admit it. Stay away from cheap self-tanners because they will bring you nothing but trouble. Instead, shell out some money for a better product such as Estee Lauder sunless and make sure you always exfoliate before applying self-tanner.

12. Sneakers with everything.

Sure, we all want to be comfortable in our shoes, but it’s not recommended to always wear sneakers with everything from skirts, to jeans, to capris. A lot of people like to wear sneakers with a denim skirt, and that’s completely fine, as long as you don’t do it all the time. It’s a comfy, sporty look, but you can make it classy and sexy. Instead, wear a pair of wedges or high heels. Don’t always pair your jeans with sneakers: it’s boring, and it’s tasteless. Spice up your outfit with a pair of hot stilettos.

Now that you already know the common mistakes, come on out and be stylish!
