Fashion face off: Kate Middleton vs Zara Phillips

There looks like there could be a mini wedding fashion war brewing with the news that Zara Phillips is also engaged.

The Queen’s grand-daughter announced her engagement yesterday and although there are no official pictures yet, we’re sure that when they surface we’ll all be scrambling to get a similar look.

Unlike Kate, Zara’s style is that little bit more classic, which we presume is down to all her sporting hobbies such as horse riding and polo. She’s often spotted out in riding gear or dressed in a hat and frock at events. However, there’s also a playful side to her, and she’s not impartial to a cute on-trend frock or casual attire of linen trousers.

Kate Middleton’s look is more High Street than designer – and we love her for that. Her engagement dress was by Issa and she chose a white dress from Reiss’s last season collection for her official engagement pictures.

She’s also got the casual, yet classic look nailed with a range of floral frocks, boots and jeans. And she’s also a girl after our own hearts opting for hot pants and little tops when she goes clubbing.

But who do you think is the most stylish?

Lady Gaga in Religious Fashion Face-off

As Lady Gaga continues to push the fashion envelop, a couple of religious inspired Gaga outfits have been put up against each other for fans choose from as their favorite.

The crew at The Hollywood Gossip have created a Lady Gaga fashion face-off between two religious inspired wardrobe choices that Gaga wore in 2010. Fans of Gaga have the choice of either the angry nun outfit that Gaga wore at this year's Lollapalooza or a red lace outfit with sun styled hair that Gaga showcased at Marc Jacobs' after-party.

Which is your favorite Lady Gaga religious inspired out fit of 2010? We picked the angry nun since it was a little more wild and over the top.

Eco-Fashion Statement

In today's designer clothes fashion, many designers such as Polo Ralph Lauren are engaging into the "green" movement. By using eco-friendly fabrics and fashion to showcase their pieces and thus start new greener trends, we are looking at a totally different side of the fashion industry.

lauren ralphEco-friendly fashions use organic raw materials, and stopped using chemicals on their pieces. This fashion statement definitely send a message that the fashion world is aware and are taking steps to pitch in and help the well-being of the earth and the environment, even if it is in a small way. Designers have found a way to keep eco-fashions casual and part of every day wear. Some of these shirts are actually delivering an eco-message atop their already organic cotton fabric. The ideas will only grow and more designers will see that it is something that they want to at least touch on to somehow help the environment and reach their consumer in a different way.

As fashion evolves, I think things will get interesting in term of eco-fashion. It is a trend that has already started, but what will they come up with next?
